Letter from the Editor
Harpur Palate Volume 24, Issue 2, would not exist without the support of the SUNY Binghamton English Department, the guidance from former Editor in Chief, Alycia Calvert, technical support from Digital and Data Studies Lecturer, Ruth Carpenter, and the effort and volunteer work of all our editors, readers, and faculty. We are honored to present the creative work featured in this issue and we are grateful to all our contributors for their writing and art.
On a personal note, it has been an incredible and humbling journey to find myself at the helm of Harpur Palate. As an undergrad in 2013, I remember sitting in my very first creative writing class and jotting down the name Harpur Palate among a list of journals my professor encouraged us to submit to. Somewhere in a digital pile of so many rejection letters, and a couple acceptances, is a response from an editor who considered my work. Now, in the fall of 2025, it’s hard to believe I’ve had the opportunity to work with friends and colleagues in continuing a literary legacy that so many before us worked to build and keep alive. Thank you to all of you who support us.
